along with the motherboard, you're also going to need the 
cardcage/heatpipe system as well. if the mainboard doesn't come with 
the primary and secondary fans, you'll need them too, they're more 
powerfull and radial discharge, not axial. there's a bracket for the 
heatpipe on the power button side as well as some foam necessary around 
the fans for proper cooling (fan to case sealing). you can make some 
thing to fit if you don't have the factory stuff, it's looks pretty 
simple.
so the easiest way to upgrade is get a trashed tibook. the 800 and the 
1ghz have the same interior rib frame and cases etc. in any case (hyuk 
hyuk!) good luck!

I would like to replace my Ti800 motherboard with a 1Ghz. Could you say 
where you got the motherboard and whether you replaced it yourself or 
is it possible to have Apple do this?
