You have identify the voltage multipliers, unsolder them from the board, and reinstall them to increase the cpu's core operating voltage. Not a trivial task. If you lift a trace or make one mistake with the soldering tweezers, your logic board is junk. The cpu manufacturing lots are randomly tested for stability at the design clock speed. Only roughly 10% or so of the cpu's of that manufacture are able to clock 1,500 Mhz, even though they're identical. Of that generation of manufacture, what made the 1,500 Mhz cpu more expensive than the 1,330 Mhz cpu is that 1,330 Mhz was the design clock speed. Of those that were sold clocked at 1,500 Mhz every single one had to be tested and certified at that clock. In other words, there's about a 90% chance that your cpu can't be overclocked without stability problems. -- Chris ------------------------- PGP Key: http://astcomm.net/~chris/PGP_Public_Key/ ------------------------- -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
