[X Newbies] Removing Apps?

Hmm...I've had apps install things in the Users Library, the System
Library, phlist files, kernal extentions, things in the Application
Support folder, Documents folder and at the root level of the hard drive.

Yes  in OS 9  parts were put everywhere.  But  in OS X   if parts are being put everywhere...they are being quite well hidden.
