Mac/PC P2P link

Hi all,

I wish to connect a Mac running 10.2.6 to a PC with Win 2000 using the
ethernet ports.  The Mac is a G4/400, although I may also have to do the
same with a slot loading iMac500 (Grey).

In either of these cases should I use a cross-over cable or is a straight
ethernet patch cable OK.  The reason I ask is to eliminate the wrong
cable as a source of error before I start.
