How to stop server from going to sleep while running my app?

I have opened an ssh session on another Mac and started a command-line
application running on it.

However, if no one is logged in locally, this other Mac goes to sleep after
xxx minutes of "inactivity", per its System Preferences.  It does not seem
to recognize the application running from my Terminal as "activity".

Does anyone know a way to fix this?

The server is running OS 10.2 and my Mac is running 10.3.
