Hi - I'm a web designer and using OS 10.2 on a G4 Tower. I was a member
of this last
briefly last year but wasn't using OSX on a regular basis. Now I am -

Therefore -

I have set up Mail with multiple mailboxes and the filters are working
very nicely.
I did set up some spam filters as well by creating rules as David Pogue
suggested
in his original Missing Manual.

However, it is still missing quite a pile of spam.

1. What does the Junk folder do? I assumed that I am training Mail to
recognise
Spam, but I note that the same junk messages keep coming back. (Altho I
have
gotten rid of viagra salesmen, yay!) My procedure is to transfer what I
think is
spam to the Junk folder, then to go thru it later and delete.

2. I set the Possible Spam rule to From: Does not contain kwyjibo, as
Pogue
suggests, but this seems to catch quite a bit of regular mail too.
Hmmm. I guess
I don't understand it very well.

Any and all thoughts welcome!

Thanks for having a list like this!
