Hello

Have I lost  my photos forever?

Suddenly tonight all the images in iPhoto have disappeared. I had been 
moving pictures from a desktop folder into other folders when it 
happened. Have I done something irreparable? I have backed up most of 
them - but we recently got back from a holiday with the grandchildren 
and  I have not backed up the ones we took of them.

Any ideas please. Apologies for my ignorance once more.
