I'm always very surprised to see ANYONE having any trepidation about  
this. It's not rocket science -- hell, it's not even changing a  
lightbulb.

1. Repair permissions.
2. Make a bootable backup of your drive to an external drive or other  
partition.
3. Follow the directions outlined on the Tiger CD. Choose update,  
archive & install if you'd like a "clean" system with your custom  
settings, or "erase and install" if you'd like to start all over.
4. After installation, the system will reboot.
5. Enjoy.

How hard is this??

Claiming that the Macintosh is inferior to Windows because most  
people use Windows is like saying that all other restaurants are  
inferior to McDonald's.
