In his OS X Tiger Missing Manual volume David Pogue writes that "for
most people, the $130 AirPort Express version is a better deal. It's
much smaller . . . and has a USB jack so you can share a USB printer on
the network. It can serve up to 10 computers at once."
Does anyone have an opinion on this choice? I think one can in fact do a
little bit better than the $130 of the AP Express. A friend of mine is
trying to decide which to buy. He'll have only two computers on his
"network," using his iBook to connect to his new DSL modem and his
5-year-old iMac to connect via AirPort to the line. No great distances
will be involved--upstairs/downstairs in a modestly-sized house.
Thanks,
Richard Bienvenu
