[X-Newbies] What should I be looking for in a dvd disk? [Pioneer DVR-111D]

Morning all

I just installed a new SuperDrive [Pioneer DVR-111D]
into my QS and when I went to buy a few blank dvd
diskÕs for it - I was a bit overwhelmed. 

So now IÕm looking for advise on the type and make of
dvd diskÕs  I should be buying for it? 

For that matter what kind of cd will I need?

Any proven/experienced advise is welcome.
