You need to go into the Linksys and set it to get an IP via DHCP from
the cable modem
(or DSL modem, whatever). Turn off the DHCP server in the Linksys and
set it up with a static IP on the inside in the 192.168.x.x range
(for instance 192.168.0.1.

Next, go into each computer and set up another IP in the same range,
for example 192.168.0.2, 3, 4, 3 etc. For subnet mask use
255.255.255.0. For Gateway use 192.168.0.1.
For DNS, use the values provided by your ISP.

Essentially . . . you get a dynamic IP from the cable/dsl company and
that IP is then
routed to the 192.168.x.x IP's inside which you've manually assigned.
Each of the workstations looks to the inside IP of the Linksys for
it's gateway address.

On the linksys . . . it might be called WAN and LAN . . .in which
case WAN is the outside (DHCP) and LAN is the inside (static IP's).
