The Apple brand is very reliable. Of the packages I've purchased (about
eight 5-packs and two 10-packs), I've never had a failure. That said,
they are very expensive compared to most other brands that you can
purchase in bulk, many of which have also been completely reliable in my
experience. For example, I've never had a failure with Taiyo Yuden, and
I've used over 100 of them. Similarly, Ritek and Fuji have been very
solid and TDK is close (m-u-c-h larger sample set, though, at over 300
burned and only two failures).

The Epson 900N doesn't print on CDs. That process requires specific
media (marked as "printable") and printers with specific feed mechanisms
customized for the task.
