for me, moving to Tiger was based on the needs of software I use, but aside from that consideration, my machines are faster without a doubt. IMO, the toys, like spotlight, automator, and dashboard are fun and sometimes even useful, but it's the "under the hood" stuff that really matters to me when getting work done. nk
