[X4U] macbook pro setup with 2 hard drives

hi

i've just installed an 120 GB SSD in the optical drive bay of my macbook pro (i rarely use the superdrive…). i plan on putting the system (10.7) and my software on it, and have the existing 500GB hard drive for my files.

how do i go about doing this? simply with aliases? or is it more complicated? … or easier?

any tips are welcome.
