[X4U] Eudora 6.2.4 problems on 10.6.8 (Zane H. Healy)

thanks zane; yes it is 6.2.4; sorry.

but the strange thing is that it _has_ been working just fine till 
these things broke and I can't restore the unbroken behavior.

I am very fond of Eudora; quick, sleek, I keep a bunch of windows 
open (~15 mailboxes corresponding to different activities) and it 
never chokes; lots of good features. nice handling of attachments; 
lots of settings that I have come to appreciate. so it is great for 
my workflow.

I dont want to abandon it; I just want to restore its behavior.

clicking on urls worked till about two weeks ago. then it broke. no 
change in OS or anything obvious that I can think of.
