Ibook Display problem

A friend used my iBook to do a presentation. She hooked it up to a
projector. All went well. Now, however, when the iBook starts up, nothing
appears on the screen most times. Once, I got the display to come up, got
part way into the start up, then the mouse froze and the screen slowly
brightened from blue to white. Now, nothing.

Any ideas.
