Thanks, Brian, it may be helpful.  She was using the universal form, 
but didn't close it, so maybe that is the problem.  I'll probably get 
into this more in a bit and this may help.  I still don't get why my 
iBook didn't recognize the CD in the drive....odd, to me since it 
always does...
