This is a bit lame, but it happens from time to time with some podcasts in
my iTunes. I put it down to something that changes in the "feed" that throws
out iTunes' version of what it has or has not seen.

Just not infallible, like everything else around. Nothing sinister.

You can reproduce this yourself by Unsubscribing and then re-Subscribing,
upon which you will get a "flood" of previous podcasts from that source. Can
be handy at times.

If your preference is to download only the most recent issue of a podcast,
then the others will just sit there with the "get" button showing. Then,
select and delete them. Poof.
