In the music section you have to choose Audiobooks in the Genres to get scroll bar on the Audiobook Playlist section of Books. Soooo, I click on Audiobooks (in the music tap) and sync, then click on Books. Then I wait... and wait and wait. Some of the times I even have to go back to the music tab and re-sync to get my scroll in the audiobooks window. Unless I have that blue bar I can't move that to see all my playlists of audiobooks.

Well, I could suggest a few things.

First, you could remove some of your audiobooks from the library.

Second, you could put your new audiobooks in a playlist, and remove them after you've listened to them. That way you'd never have to go to the Books library at all.

Third, just check and uncheck your books to sync them to your iPod, using the Only sync checked music and videos option.

Finally, view your books in List View, rather than Grid View (which I'm assuming you're using).

Does any of that make sense?
