[G4] 10.2.8 update installer STILL dies...

how is the system working besides the update? are any other apps 
crashing, is the finder randomly crashing?

and finally, what is your reason for updating to 10.2.8?  (in other 
words, can you live with what you have and not update?) i have a 
million problems with my beige G3 even without upgrades...
