Fabian:

If your G4 1.25 is like the Dual 1.4 I just purchased, then you should
be using "cable select" on the burner. Cable select "knows" where the
drive is "on the cable" and sets the mechanism automatically to the
proper "master/slave" setting.

I have found that on my Dual 1.4 machine with superdrive, even though I
installed a second A05 in the optical drive case (I actually ended up
switching the Apple A05 superdrive from master position and put my
Cenedyne A05 in that slot) iDVD3 only recognizes the Apple A05, even
though it is now in the cable select slave position. System profiler
reports both drives as A05s.

I just received DVD SP1.5 (Love Apple dropping the price and giving the
upgrade to SP2.0!) and I am hoping that DVD SP will see both drives --
otherwise I think I will have to find some means to flash the Cenedyne
A05 to the same PROM rev level?
