You aren't reading the documentation. The ONLY feature that is active 
on a trial basis is the plain erase/clone function. There are tons of 
more functions, including what you want, if you pay the small fee for 
the full version.

You need to stop complaining that you aren't getting the full version 
for free!  Besides that, it is a cloning program, not a backup 
program, in essence. It makes wonderful, dependable clones, plus lets 
you set up scripts to back up just the folders you choose, whether by 
erasing the old backup, or just "smart updating" them ( replacing 
what has changed.)

But if you want a full backup program, not a clone program, you are 
barking up the wrong tree.
