Thanks, Phil. The interesting thing is that the iMac had the old installation of Palm Desktop and that's the one that worked for a day. Thinking that the version on the disk which came with the T was different, I installed that version on the PowerBook but the result is still the same. The underlying question is "Is the error reported by HotSync on the Tungsten T related to ITS port or that on the Mac?" If it's the former, how do you reset the port? Bruce
