Seems to me that the 600MHz machines haven't been available for several months. If I'm recalling correctly, that suggests you didn't buy that machine new. Did you buy it used? If so, it may be you got someone else's lemon, or worse, something they screwed up and passed off on you as if in new shape. Also, do you own other Macs or are you new to the Mac platform? Paul
