The 12" ibook may not be as fast as the G4 powerbook but one has to ask the question: "Why do I have an portable computer?" If the ibook is an additional, portable computer and one has an adequate desktop model, then the ibook is a very acceptable choice. If one is only to own a single computer,, then the powerbook would be the way to go. My 2¢ Lowell
