Take your DVDs which inspire those questions to a local Apple seller 
and ask to play them in the various machines you are interested in 
buying.

Note: none of the Powerbooks awaken from sleep and begin playing the 
DVDs as quickly as the ones in the tall and short commercial. Those are 
very special units...  :)
