usb2 networking with windows

Hiya all,

I'm probably going to buy an ibook in the next week or two, but I'd like
to use it on the uni network. I have a desktop pc running Win2K (on
which I don't have administrator privileges) and I'd like to network the
ibook to that, via USB2, so that I can then access the net, email, etc.

I can't use an ethernet card, because I can't modify the hardware of the
box (I'd be in the poo  ;-).

Is there any way I can do this without needing the administrator
password on Win2K?

any/all suggestions appreciated.
