> Myself, I chose to purchase the Canon Powershot A80, a 4 mp wonder > that I > recommend highly. It works very well with my Canon i860 photo printer. I second that recommendation. I have one as well. It's extremely versatile; it has full auto mode, full manual mode, and just about anything in between. If you get one, read the manual -- twice -- to get it all down. On my second reading, for example, I found out that you can set the flash intensity in manual mode; I wish I'd known about that a month or so ago when I was shooting a box I'm writing a manual for at work. :-P Other nice things: it uses AA batteries and Compact Flash cards, so if you're on the road, you can pop into any chain drug store for supplies. The LCD monitor flips out and rotates around. It has a self-timer, rapid-fire mode, and a bunch of other things I haven't decided whether I need or not. If it had dials for setting aperture & shutter speed, instead of using menus, it would be dang near perfect. -- Larry Kollar k o l l a r @ a l l t e l . n e t "The hardest part of all this is the part that requires thinking." -- Paul Tyson, on xml-doc
